Video – Illegal Mine Site Activity
The videos* below display illegal activities undertaken by Adani at the Carmichael Coal Mine site in Queensland’s Galilee Basin.
Dewatering bore site 30 (DWB30)
Video 1: Dewatering Bore site DWB30 drill pad. The video was taken in May 2018 showing the approach to the cleared area roughly 50m x 50m, driller sumps, water storage, and the bore hole.
Video 2: Dewatering Bore site DWB30 driller waste sumps. The video was taken in May 2018 showing a rising camera view of the driller sumps that contain compounds of material pumped into the ground during the bore construction process.
Video 3: The Doongmabulla Springs Complex
The one million year old oasis is home to many endemic species. The Doongmabulla Springs Complex is an Australian nationally important wetland listed as “threatened ecological communities” by the Australian Government. The Doongmabulla Springs are part of the Great Artesian Basin and are just 8km from the Adani Carmichael Coal Mine. Adani’s illegal activity threatens the springs.
